JETSET MAGAZINE FEATURES SCULPTOR LINCOLN STONE

Junzi Fine Art Consultants is pleased to announce the publication of a specially commissioned article on Lincoln Stone, one of the foremost multifaceted artists alive today. In this insightful piece, entitled “Lincoln Stone – Still in The Here And Now”, Serina Manqueros, Co-Founder and Chief Curator at Junzi, celebrates the life and work of a man for whom the strive for perfection remains an ongoing quest. A great contributor to American Art, with over thirty years of important work in both the Southeast of the States and beyond, Stone has many installations in both corporate and private collections, including the Smithsonian.

Normally somewhat reticent when it comes to media interviews, the artist has entrusted Mrs Manqueros to explore and question the many influences that shaped the ethos and direction taken by the man we see today. As a result, the article leads the reader through a concise overview of Stone’s artistic beginnings from GI to sculptural apprenticeship, but more importantly peels back the layers of experience to reveal the inner spirit and philosophy which now guides and fashions the body of work produced.

The article captures the artist’s firm commitment to the “here and now” and Stone is happy to share his philosophical stance and motivational belief that characterises his self-imposed task toward perfection. Celebrating his work in a variety of mediums from bronze to wood and metal, painting and drawing in both 2 and 3 dimensions, Serina Manqueros also focuses on Stone’s up and coming provocative pieces of heads, cast in bronze entitled See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil and his “Aline”, series of ballerina sculptures, paying homage to the female form.
